Before the first post: your fence project checklist.
A little preparation makes it easier to discuss your boundary, access and project needs.
Confirm the boundary
Locate a current survey or arrange appropriate boundary confirmation before deciding where the fence belongs. A neighbor’s existing fence should not be treated as proof of a property line.
Review approvals and utilities
Check HOA rules and city or county requirements for your property. Before any digging, arrange the appropriate utility-location process and make sure everyone involved understands the marked areas and any private utilities.
Plan access and protect the work area
Discuss access to the backyard, vehicles, pets, landscaping and anything that needs to be moved. Tell your contractor about irrigation, drainage, buried wiring or other features that may not be obvious.
Keep the scope in writing
Record the agreed layout, materials, gate details, removal requirements and any finishing work. Ask how changes will be handled. For a free estimate, share your project details with Amigos Cedar Fence at info@amigoscedarfence.com.
